Salasar is a small village of 3317 hectares in Kolayat Tehsil in Bikaner district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Salasar depends on BIKANER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Salasar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Salasar's pin code is 334001[4], and village code is 00529500. The area of Salasar is segregated as 2950.33 hectares unirrigated, the 303.5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 63.5 hectare area not available for cultivation.
The village is connected with a single bus service. Salasar has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Salasar is a census village in the district of Bikaner, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 778 and has total administration over 142 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 778 (100.0%) males constitute 406 (52.19%) of the population and females 372 (47.81%).

The workforce is 227 male, 207 female with 213 (49.08%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 194 males and 19 females. 9 males and 1 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 22 male and 9 female agricultural labor. 221 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bikaner to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
