Dc Gulag

From Conservapedia
What Phyllis Schlafly would say about the continued imprisonment after the J6 Capitol protests

DC Gulag is a term coined by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) to describe the inhumane conditions for the Trump supporters being held in a prison in Washington, D.C., long after the 70-day limit on pre-trial detention under the Speedy Trial Act and Sixth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

An estimated 40 such political prisoners were being subjected to mistreatment in the DC Gulag as of December 2021.

By holding these prisoners in inhumane conditions without hope of release, it increases the pressure on them to plead guilty and then be released or transferred to a humane federal prison. Several pled guilty in 2021 under these circumstances.
