From Conservapedia Fake hate crimes is a website that compiles instances of hate crime hoaxes in the United States. As of April 2016, there are 218 searchable listings. Politicians have encoded severe penalties for hate crimes into law. The perpetrator of hate crime hoaxes seeks to gain attention and inflame public sentiment. There are many instances of hoaxes committed by liberals to further the agenda of homosexuality. It is a crime to submit a false police report.
The database grew from the 1994 work of Laird Wilcox, Crying Wolf: Hate Crime Hoaxes in America. "This book grew out of a research project I began in 1988 when the issue of racist and anti-Semitic hoaxes first came to my attention in a serious way." [1]
