Malacca is a small village of hectares in Car Nicobar Tehsil in Nicobar district in the Union territory of andaman & Nicobar Islands, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Malacca depends on Port Blair, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Malacca is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Malacca's pin code is 744301[4], and village code is 00036400.

Malacca has One post office (CarNicobar S.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Malacca has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Malacca is a census village in the district of Nicobar, andaman & Nicobar Islands. The village has a total population of 1637 and has total administration over 368 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1362 (83.20%) males constitute 704 (43.01%) of the population and females 658 (40.20%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Port Blair and Nicobar to sell copra and make their living.
