Ritam Bhatnagar[1][2][3][4] is an Indian media entrepreneur and founder of India Film Project.
He earned his B.Sc. in Electronics from St. Xavier's College, after which he was at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad for his venture wWhere,a geo-location tech startup.[5] Prior to founding IFP, he was associated with Sunset Boulevard Film Club and Ahmedabad International Film Festival.
Ritam Bhatnagar was born on 6th May 1988 in Surat. During his schooling days, Bhatnagar stood as first runner up globally for NASA and Lego's Red Rover Contest. He received his Bachelor's degree in Electronics from St. Xavier's College, Ahmedabad, now an autonomous institution. He was later incubated at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad through Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship|CIIE[6].
During his MBA, Bhatnagar did his internship with Ahmedabad International Film Festival which had an eminent guest list of people like Manisha Koirala, Vinod Dua and many more. He was also instrumental in setting up Sunset Boulevard Film Club along with Shiladitya Bora. After his post graduation, Ritam founded India Film Project in Ahmedabad with an aim to get creators to collaborate and make a short film over a weekend. Noted director Sanjay Gadhvi was the opening guest at the first edition of festival. During this time, he was also involved with Kevi Rite Jaish, a film in Gujarati language[7][8]. He was also a member of Global Shapers|Global Shaper Ahmedabad. In 2013, Ritam announced that India Film Project would go digital, thereby opening itself for national and international participation. In July 2016, Ritam moved India Film Project from Ahmedabad to Mumbai.[9]
In July 2017, Ritam produced Talk Shop, a coffee show for web with notable filmmakers like Konkona Sen Sharma, Sujoy Ghosh, Shakun Batra, Tigmanshu Dhulia and more.[10]
