Catherine Parr (1512 - 1548) was the sixth and final wife of Henry VIII King of England and survived him after his death. Already twice widowed before her marriage to Henry, she then became three times widowed with Henry's death and married again thereafter. She was a kindly influence at the English court and held some power under the boy king Edward VI, but did not live long herself after Henry's death.
