Chutney

From Conservapedia

Chutney is the Indian food equivalent of Mexican salsas. Chutneys are made from fruits, vegetables, dairy items, grains and tubers. There are many different types of chutney, with every Indian home having their own version of those classics that are known throughout India.

The best known and "original" chutney is the mango chutney. It is made with fresh mangos, sugar, apple cider vinegar, spices, salt and pepper. The mangoes are finely chopped and rendered down in a saucepan with the other ingredients to make a fine paste-like spread.
