The Washington Nationals are a Major League Baseball team in the National League Eastern Division. The Washington Nationals are based in Washington, D.C., having moved to the city from Montréal, Québec, Canada in 2005 where they were the Montréal Expos. In 2019 the franchise won the World Series for the first time in its history.[1]

The Mascot: A tall eagle chick named "Screech", wearing a Washington Nationals cap and matching jersey.

The "Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium" was the home of Washington Nationals until 2008, when a new Nationals Park opened.

In 2019 the team made its first ever appearance in the World Series, winning it. As such, every team in the National League has made at least one World Series appearance.
