NPS - Grand Canyon
|
The Grand Canyon is a 277-mile-long canyon in Arizona famed for its spectacular views and impressive depth (up to one mile). Its bowl-like shape suggests that it was formed by rushing water during or after the Great Flood. Liberal geologists, however, claim that the Colorado River carved the entire Grand Canyon millions years ago by eroding its rock walls, even though the shape of the walls are mostly vertical (rather than a gradual slope) and the shape of the basin is inconsistent with the path of the river.[3]
