Pop-Punk

From Conservapedia

Pop-punk is an amalgamation of aspects of punk rock and pop music genres.

Pop punk emerged in the late 1970s on the tails of the punk movement, with bands such as the Buzzcocks, and later saw mainstream commercial success in the mid 1990s with bands such as Green Day and The Offspring. Later bands such as Blink 182 and Sum 41 sought to emulate the pop-punk sound.
