Gangmau is a small village of 68.38 hectares in Fatehpur Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gangmau depends on Fatehpur (NP) , the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gangmau's pin code is 225305[4], and village code is 05704800. The area of Gangmau is segregated as 135.364 hectares irrigated area, 67.682 hectares unirrigated area. the 0.693 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).
Gangmau has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Gangmau is a census village in the district of Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 959 and has total administration over 183 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 212 (22.11%) males constitute 108 (11.26%) of the population and females 104 (10.84%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 303 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 266 male, 37 female with 283 (93.4%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 249 males and 34 females. 162 males and 12 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 53 male and 15 female agricultural labor. 20 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Fatehpur (NP) and Barabanki to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
