Sartara is a small village of 1370 hectares in Sirohi Tehsil in Sirohi district in the State of Rajasthan, India.^[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sartara depends on SIROHI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.^[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 155.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sartara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sartara's pin code is 307802^[4], and village code is 02353100. The area of Sartara is segregated as 185 hectares irrigated area, 46 hectares unirrigated, the 828 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 311 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sartara is a census village in the district of Sirohi, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 476 and has total administration over 999 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

• Sartara has 79 children, 77 boys and 365 girls.
• Scheduled caste counts for 171 (35.92%) males constitute 194 (40.76%) of the population and females 106 (22.27%).
• Scheduled tribe counts for 58 (12.18%) males constitute 48 (10.08%) of the population and females 386 (81.09%).

According to a census 2011 report, 215 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 192 male, 340 female with 199 (92.56%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 141 males and 221 females. 98 males and 42 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 30 males. 16 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sirohi to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
