Haliyan is a small village of 469 hectares in Pachpadra Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Haliyan depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Haliyan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Haliyan's pin code is 344026[4], and village code is 02154800. The area of Haliyan is segregated as 400.76 hectares unirrigated, the 18 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 50 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Haliyan has One public telephone. Haliyan has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Haliyan is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 468 and has total administration over 60 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 74 (15.81%) males constitute 37 (7.91%) of the population and females 37 (7.91%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 104 (22.22%) males constitute 54 (11.54%) of the population and females 50 (10.68%).

The workforce is 126 male, 110 female with 87 (36.86%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 83 males and 4 females. 2 males are considered as the main cultivators. 149 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell ghee and make their living.
