March Of The Volunteers

From Conservapedia

"March of the Volunteers" (Simplified Chinese: 义勇军进行曲; Traditional Chinese: 義勇軍進行曲; Hanyu Pinyin: Yìyǒngjūn Jìnxíngqǔ) is the natonal anthem of the People's Republic of China (including the Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau). It was first used as the PRC's national anthem in June 1949 at a conference in Prague. It became the official anthem on September 27, 1949.

The lyrics were from a play by Tian Han. The music was composed by Nie Er in 1935. The same song was used as the theme song to a Chinese film.

Lyrics[edit]

Get up! Those who won't be slaves!

With our flesh and blood, let's build a new Great Wall!

Everyone's forced to let out one last cry.

起来!起来!起来!

Get up! Get up! Get up!

We're millions with one heart,

Against the enemy’s fire, march on!

Against the enemy’s fire, march on!

前进!前进!进!

March on! March on! On![1]
