Massachusetts Government Act

From Conservapedia

The Massachusetts Government Act was one of the laws passed by the British parliament in 1774 in response to the Boston Tea Party. The act took away the right of citizens of Massachusetts to elect the members of the colony's executive council, and forbade town meetings without the permission of the Governor. This was one of the so-called Intolerable Acts.[1]
