Red Army Faction

The Marxist Red Army Faction, sometimes known as the RAF, (not to be confused with the RAF) or Baader-Meinhof Gang is a notorious leftist terrorist group in Germany. Created in 1970, the RAF has been responsible for many bombings, murders, robberies, and kidnappings in the post war era. The RAF had ties with Palestinian terrorist organizations. It is reported that some members of the group joined with Palestinian terrorist to hijack the 1976 Air France flight to Uganda.[1] As of 1998, the RAF has cease military operations.
