Eric M. Fancher Sr. was the Democratic Place 11 judge on the Jefferson County District Court in Alabama. Fancher joined the court in 1997 and retired at the end of September 2017.[1]
Fancher grew up in Brighton, Alabama. He earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Miles College. He is married and has three children. Fancher was admitted to the practice of law on September 23, 1983. His professional experience includes working as a teacher, financial aid officer, an attorney, and a municipal judge.[2][3]
Alabama held general elections for local judicial offices in 2016. A primary election took place on March 1, 2016, with a primary runoff on April 12, 2016. The general election was held on November 8, 2016.
Incumbent Eric Fancher Sr. defeated Cynthia Vines Butler in the general election for the Jefferson County District Court Place 11 seat.[4]
