Tongue

The tongue is the part of the body that is used for taste and in humans is used for speech. It can aid in eating and in cleaning up food residue. It is located in the mouth at the base.

In some animals, such as snakes, it is especially fine tuned. Some animals also have tongues that are prehensile and can be used to catch prey.
