Mujar is a small village of 78.76 hectares in Sagri Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mujar depends on Jiyanpur (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Mujar's pin code is 276136[4], and village code is 08625600. The area of Mujar is segregated as 60.625 hectares irrigated area, 0.492 hectares unirrigated area. the 3.108 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 14.532 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jiyanpur (NP) and Azamgarh to sell jaggery and make their living.
