Vegas Golden Knights

From Conservapedia

The Vegas Golden Knights are a professional ice hockey team based in Las Vegas, the first of its kind in the city.[1] They play in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference in the National Hockey League, beginning play in the 2017–18 NHL season.

In their first season they made the Stanley Cup finals only to lose to the Washington Capitals. Before the season started the team retired the number 58, in memory of the 58 people killed in the Mandalay Bay mass shooting (which took place three days before their home opening game).

The team's nickname comes both from the owner (Knights as the owner is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, who's teams are called the Black Knights) and the state itself (although Nevada's official nickname is The Silver State, it has historically led the nation in gold production).
