Marc Gustafson is the Director of the White House Situation Room and an intelligence advisor to President Biden.^{[1][2][3][4][5][6]} He previously served as the Chief of Intelligence^[7] for the National Security Council (NSC) and as both the Director and Acting Senior Director for African Affairs during the last three years of the Obama Administration.^[8] Gustafson holds a BA from NYU^[9] and an MPHIL from Oxford University, where he was a Marshall Scholar.^{[10] [11]} His doctoral dissertation focused on the history of elections and democracy in Sudan.^[12][13][14]
