Catiline

Catiline (108 - 62 BC) was a Roman politician who tried to overthrow the Roman Republic. He was stopped however, by Cicero, who was consul at the time, in 63 BC. Cicero's famous speech against Catiline forced him to flee the city. A few months later he and his followers were killed by the Roman army.[1]
