Jesse

Jesse was the son of Obed and the grandson of Ruth and Boaz. He had eight sons, the last of which was David, the greatest king in the history of Israel and the one he least expected to be chosen for the honor. He is also part of the lineage of Jesus. David was often referred to as "the son of Jesse".
