Ramniya is a small village of 2619 hectares in Siwana Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ramniya depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 200.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ramniya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ramniya's pin code is 344043[4], and village code is 02166000. The area of Ramniya is segregated as 306 hectares irrigated area, 242 hectares unirrigated, the 1481 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 284 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Ramniya has One post office (Mokalsar S.O) and Fifty public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Ramniya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Ramniya is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3761 and has total administration over 631 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Ramniya has 596 children, 316 boys and 280 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 628 (16.70%) males constitute 322 (8.56%) of the population and females 306 (8.14%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 629 (16.72%) males constitute 341 (9.07%) of the population and females 288 (7.66%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 1335 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 947 male, 388 female with 1110 (83.15%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 872 males and 238 females. 408 males and 119 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 72 male and 3 female agricultural labor. 225 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
