A Republic School District Levy Replacement measure was on the February 14, 2012 ballot in the Republic school district area which is in Ferry and Okanogan Counties.
This measure was approved
This measure sought to replace the current school levy which is set to expire with one set at a rate of $1.79 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further three years in order to pay for general education maintenance and operational costs in the district.[2]
The question on the ballot:
| The Board of Directors of the Republic School District No. 309 adopted Resolution No. 11-09. This proposition would authorize the District to levy the following excess taxes, in place of an expiring levy, of $499,500 to be collected in the years 2013, 2014, and 2015, requiring approximately $1.79 per thousand of assessed valuation each year respectively, to be placed in the General Fund for General Fund Programs Maintenance and Operation of Republic School District No 309: Collection Year: 2013-2015; Approximate Rate Per $1,000 Assessed Value: $1.79; Levy Amount: $499,50.[3] |
