NO 16 (31.37%)^[1]

This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $2 million in order to help pay for constructing, extending and improving the city waterworks system as well as operational and maintenance costs.^[2]

The question on the ballot:

Shall the City of Missouri City, Missouri issue and sell waterworks system revenue bonds in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000 for the purpose of constructing, extending and improving the waterworks system of the City, with the cost of operation and maintenance of the waterworks system and repayment of the principal of and the interest on the waterworks system revenue bonds to be payable solely from the revenues and receipts derived and to be derived from the operation of the waterworks system, and all future extensions and improvements thereof?^[3]
