Maurists
From Conservapedia Maurists were the French Benedictine monks of the Congregation of St. Maur. Founded under Richelieu in 1621, the Marists later excelled at scholarly writing. Their leading authors included:
This order was hurt when several of its monks associated with Jansenism, and its numbers dwindled. Pope Pius VII dissolved this order in 1818.
