Kherapa is a small village of 1617 hectares in Bhopalgarh Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kherapa depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kherapa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kherapa's pin code is 342037[4], and village code is 01947600. The area of Kherapa is segregated as 377.47 hectares irrigated area, 931 hectares unirrigated, the 144 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 164.16 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kherapa has One post office (Kherapa B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Kherapa has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Kherapa is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3439 and has total administration over 583 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 1419 (41.26%) males constitute 717 (20.85%) of the population and females 702 (20.41%).

The workforce is 814 male, 514 female with 926 (69.73%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 637 males and 289 females. 276 males and 197 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 134 male and 60 female agricultural labor. 402 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell ghee and make their living.
