William D. Dyke was the chief judge for the 7th Judicial District in Iowa County, Wisconsin.[1] He was appointed to the court in 1997 and served until his death on March 10, 2016.[2][3]

In 2012 he was appointed to be the "chief of the chiefs," acting as head of the chief judges of the 10 Circuit Court districts.[2]

Education[edit]

Dyke earned his B.A. from DePauw University and his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.[4]

Career[edit]

Dyke was admitted to the Wisconsin Bar in 1960.[4] In 1997 he was appointed to the 7th Judicial District.[2]

2010 election[edit]

Judge Dyke ran for re-election, being re-elected after defeating candidate Rhonda Hazen.[5][6]
