Eduardo Bolsonaro is a conservative Brazilian politician. He is the son of Brazilian President and fellow conservative Jair Bolsonaro.
Bolsonaro, like his father, strongly opposes socialism[1] and also opposes Venezuela's Maduro regime.[2] He has called for Brazil to build nuclear weapons to protect its national security.[3] In March 2019, he joined The Movement, an organization founded by Steve Bannon.[4] In October 2019, Bolsonaro became the Social Liberal Party's whip in Brazil's lower house.[5] He also served as the chair of the house's foreign affairs committee.[6]
In 2019, Bolsonaro's father nominated him to serve as Brazil's ambassador to the United States, but Eduardo withdrew his nomination after facing opposition from the more liberal Brazilian Senate.[7]
