Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is famous for its volcanic activity. The Park encompasses a wide diversity of ecosystems and habitat for numerous native Hawaiian species such as carnivorous caterpillars, happy face spiders and colorful Hawaiian honeycreepers. Over 90% of lifeforms in Hawaii are unique to the Hawaiian islands.
