Oldest Brewery

From Conservapedia

The oldest brewery in the United States is located in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, near a supply of spring water. Beer water use is generally substantial.

Owned by the Yuengling family from Germany, this brewery was founded in 1831 and has been conducting tours for the last 40 years.[1] It survived Prohibition by producing "near bears" having only 0.5% alcohol content.

The more widely known Anheuser-Busch brewery was founded two decades later, in 1852, in St. Louis, Missouri.

A list of the ten oldest breweries in the United States has the starting year of the Yeungling beer itself as 1829.
