Saya is a small village of 312 hectares in Akbarpur Tehsil in Ambedkar Nagar district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Saya depends on Gosainganj (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Saya's pin code is 224152[4], and village code is 06117400. The area of Saya is segregated as 490 hectares irrigated area, 32 hectares unirrigated area. the 50 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 34 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Saya has One post office (Saya B.O). Saya has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Saya is a census village in the district of Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1991 and has total administration over 310 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Saya has 268 children, 141 boys and 127 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 711 (35.71%) males constitute 362 (18.18%) of the population and females 349 (17.53%).

The workforce is 472 male, 360 female with 283 (34.01%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 192 males and 91 females. 114 males and 67 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 18 male and 13 female agricultural labor. 549 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Gosainganj (NP) and Ambedkar Nagar to sell cloth and make their living.
