Media Event

From Conservapedia

A media event is an event that is purposely arranged in order to give the press an opportunity to see an elected official at work or to hear an official speak. It allows the politician some good press coverage and the ability to convey a message. An unarranged media event of the same sort, usually based around a scandal of some sort, is called a media circus.
