Ghurmi is a small village of 99.29 hectares in Bara Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ghurmi depends on Shankargarh (NP, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply One tank and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Ghurmi's pin code is 212107[4], and village code is 05494200. The area of Ghurmi is segregated as 68.01 hectares irrigated area, 3.45 hectares unirrigated area. the 3.93 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 23.9 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Ghurmi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Ghurmi is a census village in the district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 833 and has total administration over 148 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 105 (12.61%) males constitute 60 (7.20%) of the population and females 45 (5.40%).

According to a census 2011 report, 294 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 210 male, 84 female with 199 (67.69%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 164 males and 35 females. 62 males and 8 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 24 male and 17 female agricultural labor. 95 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Shankargarh (NP and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
