Longyearbyen

Longyearbyen is the largest city and administrative centre of the Svalbard archipelago in the Barents Sea, which is a region of Norway. It has approximately (as of 2008) 2,040 inhabitants.[1] The city was founded in 1906 by John Munroe Longyear, an American entrepreneur.[2]
