Return

From Conservapedia

Return may refer to several things depending on context.

Economics[edit]

Return generally refers to profit (or loss) made on an investment. "Rate of return" is the ratio of profit compared to investment.

Architecture and Design[edit]

Defined as "the receding edge of a flat face".

Computing[edit]

The return statement tells a function, subroutine or method to stop running and "return" control to its caller.[1] In Java and most other languages, no other lines of programming code may follow a return statement, since they could not possibly be executed. The typical compiler therefore labels this a coding error. But in PHP it is allowed.

Definition of noun[edit]

An act of coming or going back to something.
