Intentional Tort

From Conservapedia

An intentional tort is a wrong perpetrated by someone on purpose.

The intent refers to the purpose of doing the act, not knowledge about the law. All are presumed to know the law.

Chopping down a neighbor's tree, for example, is an intentional tort, even if one was mistaken about where the property boundary is.
