The Arkansas Association of Chiefs of Police (AACP) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization that aims to help Arkansas chiefs of police with education and training opportunities as well as model policies designed to improve local police departments.

Mission[edit]

According to its website, the Arkansas Association of Chiefs of Police has the following mission:[1]

The AACP continually works towards enhancing the knowledge and skills of police executives so that they can effectively meet the growing demand of providing the best possible law enforcement available today.[2]

Work[edit]

The Arkansas Association of Chiefs of Police is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization that works to help police chiefs in the state. Beyond training and accreditation programs, the AACP develops model policies in order to "advance the science of police administration and crime prevention."[3][1]

The AACP model policy program is designed to "provide high risk/critical incident policies to police managers for use in their departments as well as encourage ongoing professionalism through best practices and standards as determined by a range of stakeholders."[4]
