Putha is a small village of 157 hectares in Auraiya Tehsil in Auraiya district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Putha depends on Babarpur Ajitma, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply which is 3.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers,Two canals and Two springs. Putha is also surrounded byTwo lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Putha's pin code is 206129[4], and village code is 04141200. The area of Putha is segregated as 133 hectares irrigated area, 3 hectares unirrigated area. the 3 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 18 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Putha is a census village in the district of Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1738 and has total administration over 312 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 697 (40.10%) males constitute 373 (21.46%) of the population and females 324 (18.64%).

The workforce is 429 male, 118 female with 489 (89.4%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 375 males and 114 females. 211 males and 18 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 100 male and 79 female agricultural labor. 58 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Babarpur Ajitma and Auraiya to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
