Phoolan is a small village of 1964 hectares in Siwana Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Phoolan depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 103.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Phoolan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Phoolan's pin code is 344021[4], and village code is 02166600. The area of Phoolan is segregated as 103 hectares irrigated area, 1017 hectares unirrigated, the 325 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 519 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The workforce is 606 male, 269 female with 641 (73.26%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 451 males and 190 females. 301 males and 166 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 10 male and 5 female agricultural labor. 234 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell earthen pot and make their living.
