Divine Providence

From Conservapedia

Divine Providence is the Christian doctrine that emphasized the sovereignty of God over his creation. In concerns God's eternal decree and in short can be summurized as follows: The belief that God predetermined everything that comes to pass in this world, to the extent that nothing in creation can move or act in any way, without His supreme will. The believers of this doctrine often assert that, although God even predetermined the sin that man would commit and all the bad in this world, He is not the author of sin and the guilt remains that of the sinner who commits the sin. They also emphisize the belief that even Satan and the angels are comepletely dependent on God for their existence and actions.

The doctrine is believed by both Orthodox Calvinists and Lutherans, although it is emphisized much more in Calvinism.
