Hilton Hotel Corporation was founded in 1919 by Conrad Hilton when he bought a hotel in Cisco, Texas, and are located in cities and resort destinations around the world. Hilton owns and operates over 3,500 hotels worldwide including well known brands such as Embassy Suites and the Waldorf Astoria. It employs approximately 130,000 people.[1]

Although the chain was sold to the Blackstone Group in 2007, various members of the Hilton family still own sizable amounts of stock.[2]
