Chilawa is a small village of 109.4 hectares in Kaiserganj Tehsil in Bahraich district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chilawa depends on KAISERGANJ, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Chilawa's pin code is 271903[4], and village code is 06532500. The area of Chilawa is segregated as 51.95 hectares irrigated area, 1.72 hectares unirrigated area. the 0.73 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 1.34 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Chilawa has One public telephone. Chilawa has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Chilawa is a census village in the district of Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 930 and has total administration over 170 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 124 (13.33%) males constitute 59 (6.34%) of the population and females 65 (6.99%).

According to a census 2011 report, 254 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 234 male, 20 female with 204 (80.31%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 187 males and 17 females. 177 males and 11 females are considered as the main cultivators. 50 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KAISERGANJ and Bahraich to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
