Asiatic Flu

From Conservapedia

The Asiatic Flu or Russian Flu was an outbreak of influenza from 1889 to 1894, which was purportedly spread by travelers on trains and ocean liners. A brutal winter exacerbated the pandemic.

An estimated 1 million people died out of 1.5 billion worldwide.

This was the first of the modern flu pandemics, though underpublicized today.
