Nicias

From Britannica 11th Edition (1911)

Nicias, son of Nicomedes, an Attic painter of the 4th century B.C. Pliny (xxxv. 131) gives a list of his works. He was associated with Praxiteles, whose statues he coloured, thus adding to their value.
