1. The Gilded Age was a term coined by Mark Twain which referred to the 1880s because those years appeared very golden.
2. I like the fact that even though he was almost deaf but he still built things for other people to enjoy listening to. Homeschooling did help because the public schools thought he was an idiot, but also his determination. He failed 100s of times on the light bulb but never gave up.
3. Because if we had lost that we would have lost a lot of people from America but maybe since we were weak then maybe England would come and try to take us back again.
4. We started off with nothing just trying to survive so people kept trying to make thing work with less people.
5. Some of them like the one with Abraham Lincoln lying in his bed could be very influential but others like lady liberty standing there I don’t think would be too influential.
6. I think the second most influential person was John D. Rockefeller because he showed us how to expand and do better business.
7. Notice we now have Uncle Sam instead of Lady Liberty. American is not far away from Prosperity but it is sinking in dept because it is relying on gold. Soon we find out about silver and then we get over the peak.

H1. Yes I do. He wasn’t going around saving all of those banks when they went down instead he used the money to do other things.
H4. I am against unions. If we just kept having unions then we would have to raise wages then prices of everything would go up, and then the country would have a financial break down.
H5. I thinks Bryan’s speech is right.
