Resin

From Conservapedia

Resin is a sticky, liquid substance that usually hardens when exposed to air.[1] Hardened resin is used to moisten and sharpen bow hairs for string instruments (i.e. viola, violin, cello, double bass, viola da gamba). Synthetic resins are plastics, such as Bakelite.
