A Cahokia School District Bond Measure was on the March 20, 2012 ballot in the Cahokia school district area which is in St. Clair County.
This measure was defeated
This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $32 million in order to build a new high school in the district. School officials cited increased maintenance and other problems in the old building as reasons for needing a new facility, but the previous attempt to pass this bond was met with defeat. Additional questions had arisen on the integrity of the School Board where one member plead guilty to federal crimes earlier.[2]
