Nanau is a small village of 781.1 hectares in Koil Tehsil in Aligarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.^[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Nanau depends on akarabad, the nearest town for all major economic activities.^[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply One tank, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Nanau's pin code is 202121^[4], and village code is 01384600. The area of Nanau is segregated as 780.53 hectares irrigated area, the 0.5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).

Nanau is a census village in the district of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 4718 and has total administration over 757 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

According to a census 2011 report, 1602 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1240 male, 362 female with 1164 (72.66%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1092 males and 72 females. 468 males and 17 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 388 male and 31 female agricultural labor. 438 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of akarabad and Aligarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
